Visa Services

Tourist visa — Electronic Travel Authorization

Obtain an ETA through the official ETA service before travelling. The Department notice effective 25 May 2026 provides a free 30-day tourist ETA for nationals of 40 countries, including Saudi Arabia, with double entry during that period. An ETA is still required. Extensions are subject to the applicable fee.

Work Visa

Any national may apply for a working visa through the Embassy in Riyadh or the Consulate General in Jeddah.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed application
  • Passport valid ≥ 6 months from departure
  • Two colour photos (4×3 cm, light background)
  • Visa approval letter from the Dept. of Immigration & Emigration
  • Invitation letter from the company/organisation in Sri Lanka
  • Supporting letter from the KSA company/institution the applicant represents or is employed by.

Investor Visa

Sri Lanka offers an Investor Visa to encourage foreign investment, allowing eligible individuals to reside while managing investments. Duration: USD 100,000 investment → 5 years; USD 200,000 → 10 years.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Visa application form
  • Request letter
  • Passport copy (valid ≥ 6 months)
  • 2 photos
  • Investment proposal
  • Marriage certificate (spouse)
  • Birth certificate (dependants)
  • Security-clearance form
  • Medical clearance
  • Police clearance (≤ 3 months)
  • Bank confirmation letter (name, account number, VPFCA category, balance)

FEES 

USD 200 / year for main applicant, spouse and each dependant.
